Just because...

I am known by many people
But I have no friends.
Ill bring you pain and suffering
Your happiness I'll end.
My cold embrace, my chilling breath,
My silent deadly kiss
I'll pick you up, then throw you down
Into my dark abyss
I'm silent, I'm invisible.
I'm a killer you can't see.
I'll touch you when you least expect,
And I'll never set you free.
I don't hate, I don't discriminate.
I don't choose who plays my game.
Fat or black. Young or old.
To me you are all the same.
There is no reason for what I do,
There is no reason why.
I chose you just because...
Its time for you to die.

Life

"Life"

Life is hard,
Life is tough,
You need to be strong,
And never give up

There may be days,
That never seem to end,
And you feel like you,
Don't have a friend,

But keep on walking
Down that road,
Your friends will follow
And bear your load,

But face each day,
And what it brings,
And you'll be ready,
To face any thing.

TODAY IS A GIFT

TODAY IS A GIFT

Many people will walk in and out of your life,
But only true friends will leave footprints in your heart
To handle yourself, use your head;
To handle others, use your heart.
Anger is only one letter short of danger.
If someone betrays you twice, it is your fault
Great minds discuss events;
Small minds discuss people.
He who loses money, loses much;
He who loses a friend, loses much more;
He who loses faith, loses all.
Beautiful old people are works of art.
Learn from the mistakes of others
You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.
Friends, you and me ... You brought another friend ... and we started our
group ... our circle of friends ... and like a circle ... there is no
beginning or end ... Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is mystery. Today is a gift.

Into Every Life

Into Every Life
by Christopher

She looks into air, herself falling rain
Dripping coldness past, memories old pain.

Drops fall, the puddling her damp water-life.
Spiraling a mirror, self-lonely strife.

A sigh, one frown, crying soft saddened tears.
Storms of remember - through bleak yesteryear.

Clouds a-whorl, dark sky sheltering fair heart.
But how can she joy, while taking no part?

Cov'ring cold soul, corona of defense.
Defying the stab of her fate's intents.

This is madness, she thinks in plaintive cry.
I'm here, on the cusp, of lay down and die.

What my destiny, but an empty-off dream?
A plaything with which gods and angels scheme.

Am I doomed then to live, time never-free?
Subsumed wholly 'neath life's scattered debris?

Is justice, outside this torrential doubt?
Perhaps more than sorrow, painful fall-out?

Is love, perhaps, just a sliver of sun?
Shining through mists, revealing Avalon?

Personal paradise, which I can own,
Evoking happiness, hither unknown?

She raises from streets of lonely no more.
Light slicing through darkness, hopes washed ashore.

Her withered gait now straightening with pride.
She glides like an angel 'cross future's tide.

Belief in life renewed, no, only found.
Footsteps echoing, a cadence of sound.

Caressing the ground, sing the beat of her heart.
Into the sun seeking love's brand new start.

I Am

I Am
by Skyfyre

I am ...
A woman
With a full heart, hidden
Somewhere in an empty room ...
With eyes not quite of autumn's gold, and yet
Neither all of summer's green;

I wonder ...
If love is a tale made for children --
A granting of sweet dreams in their innocence --
A honey-coating to help their throats
Choke down the bitter draught ...

I hear ...
A voice that whispers warnings, half-formed,
Bodiless as hope, until I swear I cannot draw
Another breath unless this spectre be unmasked,
His lies mangled ‘neath my righteous tread;

I see ...
A woman, proud, uncompromising,
Diaphanous as air -- less, even, than the tears
That fall in desolation about her weary feet,
Salt poison pooled upon the withered ground ...

I want ...
A measure of quietude, a certain silence,
The echo of alone which heals me of dreaming,
The nothing that stills the wanting,
The numb, the cold that laughs at pain;
I am
A woman,
hidden ...

I pretend ...
That I can live forever -- that Time
Has no puissance but that which I afford Him --
And so, I can wait, I can be happy tomorrow,
Sleep is for the dead; but its ghosts haunt my waking ...

I feel ...
Too much -- too deeply to be directionless,
Too real for imagining, and yet the familiar eyes
Hold nothing of recognition -- only my reflection --
A meeting of shadows in sunlit glass;

I touch ...
The downy wings of hope, in wonder,
In reverence, in need, in hunger;
Alas, it burns my fingers as a flame,
A sacrilege, self-defined ...

I worry ...
That I am alone; that in my longing
I have forsaken all -- but oh, what reward,
What smile divine should light the path to freedom --
And how can I but heed the siren's call?

I cry ...
For having too much, for fear of bursting,
And then, when by the pouring of my soul
I lie, a vessel emptied, I cry again
For what was had, and lost;
I am
A woman,
empty ...

I understand
That life is what you make it,
That sometimes, the coat of many colors
That marks your triumphs brightly, blends only
To loneliest of grey ...

I say
That we are made by life, shaped,
Broken, perhaps -- unmade and voided --
But always, the core of us remains, waiting
With only faith, with trust, to be reborn;

I dream
Of bluest waters, reaching
With unnatural hands toward the faded sky,
Of dolphins that wander in seas without limits,
Carrying me water-breathing past corals and clouds ...

I try ...
To lead by example, knowing
That merely the telling holds no power;
A gift of giving is merely a day, while
A gift of knowing spans forever;

I hope ...
That my darkness holds you gently,
That pain is halved by sharing, that feeling
Wields nothing past the words it summons,
Except that it touch you with only healing ...
I am
A woman,
only.

Their Pain

Their Pain
by Meredith Mcghin

I can only imagine
What it's like to sacrifice
How it feels to do without
What it takes to pay the price
To offer all I have
Unto others with a need
I can only imagine
For myself, I live in greed

I can only imagine
What it's like to be alone
How it feels to be rejected
How to get by on my own
To never share a secret
To feel empty deep inside
I can only imagine
For myself, I live in pride

I can only imagine
What it's like to be abused
How it feels to lie awake
Feeling angry, tired and bruised
To have no friend to turn to
Filled with rage I can't release
I can only imagine
For myself, I live in peace

I can only imagine
What it's like to know such pain
How it feels to wake each morning
With a past I can't explain
To live a constant nightmare
That no else can parallel
I can only imagine
But for them, they live in Hell

Why So Serious?:Experience Life’s Best Moments

There are so many good things in life, yet we all feel miserable. If you indulge yourself in whatever you do, you will find happiness in every activity. When we do a thing for the first time, we are excited afterwards it becomes a lifeless routine. Do you remember the first time when you rode in a bicycle without your dad’s support? Or the first non-stop lap you completed at the pool when your mom was watching you? There you go, you can find such instances that made you feel that you are on top of the world.

When we indulge in an action, we seem to enjoy thoroughly. So, don’t live two lives, don’t dream something else when you are working on a thing. When you play, play. When you work, work. That’s how happy people live. That’s why they are happy.

Here are few best moments and experiences in life you just can’t afford to miss. Obviously, the list is not complete. You can make a list of things that make you happy. The longer the list, the happier you will be.

Watching the sunrise.

Hugging the person you love.

Making chocolate chip cookies!

Watching a good movie cuddled up on a couch with someone you love.

Road trips with friends.

Dozing off in the pool after a swim.

Making new friends or spending time with old ones.

Your first kiss.
Running through sprinklers with kids.

Hitting the beach on a bright sunny 24 degree day.

A bubble bath any time, any day.

A long distance phone call from a friend you have not spoken for years.

A special glance from your special girl/boy.

Falling in love with someone.

A hot shower after a hard day’s work.

Laughing so hard your face (or stomach) hurts.

Getting mail from your blog reader (no, not a spammer).

Taking a drive on a scenic road with your favourite song on the radio.

Lying in bed listening to the rain outside (feeling warm in the rugs).

Finding the sweater you want is on sale for half price.

Drinking a milk shake for breakfast.

Giggling for no reason.

A good conversation with your best pal who don’t judge you based on your talks.

Laughing for absolutely no reason at all.

Having someone tell you that you’re beautiful.

Friends.

Accidentally overhearing someone say something nice about you.

Waking up and realizing you still have a few hours left to sleep.

Watching the expression on someone’s face as they open a much-desired present from you.

Watching the sunrise.

Getting out of bed every morning and thanking God for another beautiful day.

The above list is just a few of the activities I found enjoyable. What is your favorite? What will you do when you want to feel happy?

Ask the following question to yourself. Especially whenever your life seems to get mundane and boring.‘When was the last time you did something for the first time?’. Break the shackles, do something weird. Make your life.

Enjoy a Long, Healthy, Happy Life?

So you want to enjoy a long healthy, happy life or should I say, you want to be the “exception to the rule.”

You should know from the start that the “odds” are stacked against you, but by accepting and tackling the challenge you will find it very worthwhile and rewarding, not to mention adding many years of happiness onto your lifespan.

Talking of “lifespan”, lets pause for a moment and think about that.

Its key to differentiate between living a “long life” (lifespan) and living a “long HEALTHY life” (healthspan), which then can translate into the ideal situation where you can enjoy a “LONG, HEALTHY, HAPPY LIFE”.

I know of many people, young and old who just exist from day to day with aches and pains, disease and suffering and with many bedridden for a number of years before they die prematurely from one of the modern lifestyle diseases like cancer or heart disease. One can hardly call that “living” or having had a great life.

Most people look forward to retiring after a long period of working and bringing up a family, with a vision of being able to relax, travel and enjoy a long, happy, healthy life with one’s family. The reality, unfortunately is very different for most people.

This dream unfortunately, invariably has a perverse ending in this day and age. Virtually every one of us living a modern lifestyle will be diagnosed with a fatal chronic disease in our lifetime. Most of us will land up having long term expensive drug treatment, causing misery, pain and suffering and eventually death without dignity. At least half of us will be diagnosed with cancer and will be treated by conventional medicine, resulting in a slow painful death after undergoing expensive poisonous chemotherapy, radiation or surgery. Those of us lucky enough to escape cancer will most probably succumb to heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s or some other chronic degenerative lifestyle disease.

Your Mood Effects Your Health

You have been told for years that laughter is the best medicine. This is true. But it is more than just laughter. More than just Sickness. Happiness can effect your entire Health and well being.

How many times have you seen someone depressed. EVERYTHING, from their Work, Friends, Hobbies, Family, everyone and everything is effected. Most of the time in a NEGATIVE sense.

Happy people? Everything seems to be effected in a POSITIVE Sense. It even seems to be contagious from time to time. Spend time with a truly HAPPY person, and sometimes it will rub off on you. So how can you "get happy?" Well, legally? Here is some tips from Live Science - 5 Things That Will Make You Happier By Clara Moskowitz, LiveScience Senior Writer posted: 22 February 2010 07:54 am ET

SAN DIEGO – The pursuit of happiness is sometimes easier said than done.

Some scientists have argued that happiness is largely determined by genetics, health and other factors mostly outside of our control. But recent research suggests people actually can take charge of their own happiness and boost it through certain practices.

"The billion-dollar question is, is it possible to become happier?" said psychologist Sonja Lyubomirsky of the University of California, Riverside. "Despite the finding that happiness is partially genetically determined, and despite the finding that life situations have a smaller influence on our happiness than we think they do, we argue that still a large portion of happiness is in our power to change."

Lyubomirsky spoke here Saturday at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. She and colleagues last year reviewed 51 studies that tested attempts to increase happiness through different types of positive thinking, and found that these practices can significantly enhance well-being. The results were published in the Journal of Clinical Psychology.

Here are five things that research has shown can improve happiness:

1. Be grateful – Some study participants were asked to write letters of gratitude to people who had helped them in some way. The study found that these people reported a lasting increase in happiness – over weeks and even months – after implementing the habit. What's even more surprising: Sending the letter is not necessary. Even when people wrote letters but never delivered them to the addressee, they still reported feeling better afterwards.

2. Be optimistic – Another practice that seems to help is optimistic thinking. Study participants were asked to visualize an ideal future – for example, living with a loving and supportive partner, or finding a job that was fulfilling – and describe the image in a journal entry. After doing this for a few weeks, these people too reported increased feelings of well-being.

3. Count your blessings – People who practice writing down three good things that have happened to them every week show significant boosts in happiness, studies have found. It seems the act of focusing on the positive helps people remember reasons to be glad.

4. Use your strengths – Another study asked people to identify their greatest strengths, and then to try to use these strengths in new ways. For example, someone who says they have a good sense of humor could try telling jokes to lighten up business meetings or cheer up sad friends. This habit, too, seems to heighten happiness.

5. Commit acts of kindness – It turns out helping others also helps ourselves. People who donate time or money to charity, or who altruistically assist people in need, report improvements in their own happiness.

So what are Bad thoughts? Stress, Doom and Gloom, Anxiety, Lack of Self-control, Fretting, Lack of Meaning, Cynicism. These are negative thoughts, emotions and actions.

So the lesson here? Don't worry, be happy. {Smile}
